Nissen Brothers Winery
|
|
Nissen Brothers Winery is the idea and work of brothers David and Timothy Nissen who presently own Westphalia Vineyards. We grew up on a small farm south of Bow Valley, Nebraska. Bow Valley is an unincorporated farming community located just a few miles away from the Missouri river in northern Cedar County. The traditional family farm is nearing extinction because the market conditions for traditional row crops and livestock favor large farms with corporate partners. However northern Cedar County still has a usually large number of small farms that are struggling fiercely to survive. Introducing a new form of agriculture is a must in order to maintain and promote growth of our community.
