Take exit 137 for New Munich and turn left off the ramp. You'll drive about three miles (and through the town of New Munich) then take a right onto County Road 30. We're three miles down and on the right—if you drive past the vines, you've gone too far! Driving down from Fargo? Fact: Fargo is 140 miles from Whispering Oaks Winery and Black Oak Vineyard. Make your way to I-94 and head east. You'll stay on the highway for roughly 135 miles, so make sure you've got some sweet tunes to listen to! After about two hours, you'll take exit 135 for Melrose. At the top of the ramp, swing right and head down County Road 13 for about three miles. Take a left onto County Road 30 and you'll find us one mile down the road. Once you see the grape vines on the left, make sure to slow down or you'll miss our driveway!

  Frontenac Gris
Our Frontenac Gris has a great apricot aroma," explains Chris, our winemaker. "The grape that makes this wine is also called Frontenac Gris—a mutation of the red Frontenac."
  Gewürztraminer
Gewürz literally translates from German as spice," Alex, Chris and Terri's oldest son, translates. "Our Gewürztraminer has just the right blend of spices to give it a nice kick. All while preserving the genuine taste you'd expect from a white table wine." As with the Frontenac Gris, this wine is named for the grape that makes it, the Gewürztraminer. It's a refreshing, fruity white wine with a vibrant floral aroma.
  La Crescent
The deep tanginess of grapefruit coupled with a crisp wowed me the first time I tasted this La Crescent," laughs Bob Hock. "It was fun!" Like all of our wines, Chris, our winemaker, ferments our semidry La Crescent right in Melrose, Minnesota. Tickle your tastebuds with something truly Minnesotan.
  Marquette
The Marquette grape is a hybrid with relations to Pinot Noir and Frontenac. Our grapes produce a delightful ruby color—for now, this is the single red wine we offer.
  Riesling
When I think of Chris and Terri's Riesling, I think, delightful," muses Doris Hock. "It goes great with just about any supper!" This Riesling, like our Gewürztraminer, is crafted in a German style most typically from the Rhine River area in Germany. It is well-balanced with a smooth citrusy aroma and hints of pear. It's semi-dry and woodsy.
