Shea Wine Cellars

Shea Wine Cellars Shea Wine Cellars is a producer of world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, all made from fruit grown on site at the Shea Vineyard. Founded by Dick and Deirdre Shea in 1996, Shea Wine Cellars was a natural outgrowth of Shea Vineyard which was first planted with wine grapes in 1989 in a then-untried viticultural area. Today, the 200-acre vineyard property lies at the heart of Oregon's much-heralded Willakenzie district and supplies fruit to some of Oregon's and California's finest wineries.

  Block 23 Pinot Noir
This wine is from a 1990 planting of Pommard Clone vines in Shea Vineyard's West Hill area. This wine is all about bright, focused, dark fruit. This Pinot is intense and has a beautiful purity of flavor. A worthy successor to our Block 23 releases of recent years.
  Block 32 Pinot Noir
As with earlier vintages this Block 32 release has depth and nuance. This Block's Waidenswill Clone vines always display lots of earth, forest floor and violets. With this vintage it has for the first time intriguing chocolate and coffee notes on the palate.
  Chardonnay
We are particularly proud of this Chardonnay. We used just enough new French oak to provide some structure for the wonderful fruit flavors coming from this cool climate Chardonnay. There is lots of underlying acid in this wine and it's great for matching with food.
  Estate Pinot Noir
This Pinot is made from grapes carefully selected from throughout Shea Vineyard. It is already quite accessable and showing layers of flavor normally not revealed until our wines have another full year of bottle age.
  Homer Pinot Noir
Homer is our finest Pinot noir blend. The fruit came from our oldest, own-rooted vines with a small amount of our new Dijon Clone 115 grapes to add structure. This wine is a huge Pinot that is dark colored and quite intense. Dark berry flavors are balanced by violets, mushroom and earthy tones. A wonderfully complex wine that should be our longest lived wine of the vintage.
