Von Jakob Vineyards Von Jakob Vineyards, "Little Germany," is located on a Shawnee Forest hill in the Illinois Ozarks. Sample award-winning wines from dry to sweet, red to white. Visitors can enjoy a 2000 sq. ft. deck, half of which is covered, tasting room, gift shop and 1200 sq. ft. atrium with fireplace that is available for special events. Open ALL year. Hours: Mon-Sat: 10-5; Sun: 12-5.

Directions
From Murphysboro: Go 9 miles south on Rt. 127, then turn right at Pomona Exit. At the Stop sign, turn left. Winery is approximately 2 miles on the left. From St. Louis: (2 hours south) Take I-64 to Rt. 127 south. Proceed as above. From Cape Girardeau, Missouri: (45 minutes north) Take Rt. 146 to Rt. 127. Go north on Rt. 127 for 10 miles and turn left at Pomona Exit. From Paducah, Kentucky: (1 hour, 15 minutes northwest) Take I-24 to Rt. 146 west. Go north on Rt. 127 for 10 miles and turn left at Pomona Exit.

  American Chambourcin
Pinot noir style. Medium bodied, lightly oaked, red dinner wine, Serve with grilled fish, chicken or pasta.
  Cabernet Sauvignon
The first Cabernet grown, produced and released by any Illinois vineyard was done by VJV.

The flavor of blackberry, licorice and chocolate, well-balanced tannin and oak - Ideal with beef, game lamb and pasta.

French-oaked. Taste citrus and cinnamon with a vanilla finish, Complements Oriental, fish or chicken.
  Chateau Red
A foch, chancellor and chambourcin grape blend. Spicy black cherry aroma, good tannic backbone with rich, smoky character, serve with beef, lamb, game or pasta.
  Country Red
A foch, chancellor and chambourcin blend of grapes. Toasted, buttery, black cherry aroma ---balanced and smooth.
  Hillside White
Vidal Blanc. Bouquet of citrus and floral aromas with a hint of ask---great with seafood, Cajun and cheese.
  Honey Blush
Honey mead and concord grapes. A Von Jakob classic - honey blended with concord, replacing traditional spicing.
  Honey Peach
From Von Jakob's Orchard, a unique blend of honey mead and peaches. Good with dessert.
  Honey Raspberry
Honey mead and raspberries. Compliments spicy foods and chocolates.
  Jonathan Apple
Southern Illinois best Jonathans. Crisp and juicy. Great for every palate.
  Kroshenfeler
Chardonel and concord blend. Medium bodied, fruity --- excellent with cheese or light meals.
  Late Harvest Vidal
aste the refreshing sensation of apricot. Great with dessert.
  Little Grand Canyon Gold
Vidal Blanc. Comparable to a German dessert wine. No oak, spicy and floral, also good with cheeses and light meals.
