Terry Hoage Vineyards is a small family owned and operated vineyard and boutique winery focusing exclusively on Rhone varietals. Located in the western hills of Paso Robles, our steep hillside vineyard’s soils are a calcareous mixture of limestone and clay allowing our plants to be nearly dry farmed. Our special climate, terroir, fastidious farming practices and low yields produce exceptional fruit that is forward and focused. Every aspect of our vineyard's farming is done by hand. Terry and Jennifer Hoage's winemaking approach is to produce minimally processed wines. Our 1600 case production includes an estate Syrah, The Hedge, an estate Grenache-Syrah, The 46, a cuvee of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Counoise, The Pick, an estate Grenache Rose, Bam Bam.

Terry Hoage Vineyards- Cuvee- The Pick
Our Cuvee is a blend of 50% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 17% Mourvedre and 8% Counoise. This wine was born with the idea of not losing the fresh ripe strawberry of the single barrel of Counoise we possessed. The Pick displays a lighter personality than our other two Syrah driven wines. Though this wine is lighter in body, it still encompasses a lovely mouth feel and displays lively red fruit, earth and truffle. 75% Neutral barrels and 25% new French oak.

Terry Hoage Vineyards- Grenache Rose- Bam Bam
Our dry rose was 100% stainless steel fermented until dry and was not allowed malolactic fermentation in order to optimize the fresh fruit and bright acidity. The mouth coats the tongue and leaves you wanting more.

Our Grenache-Syrah blend displays wild berries and sweet black cherry with lovely acidity and lively violet-blueberry perfume which lingers on the finish. This blend shows spectacularly pure fruit, polished tannins and excellent balance. 50% new French oak and 50% second year or neutral barrels

Terry Hoage Vineyards- Syrah-The Hedge
Our 2005 Syrah is powerful and layered with blackberry, cassis and melted licorice, truffle, and dark chocolate aromas and flavors. The lingering perfumed finish has integrated acidity, velvety tannins and a forever finish. 90% new French oak 10% second year oak using a combination of Francois Frere (3 yr. Bertranges and Allier Forest), Taransaud, Seguin Moreau, Saury and Boutes
