Slate Run Vineyard is situated amidst 3 ½ acres of vineyards only 19 miles from downtown Columbus. Relax, taste, and savor a wide array of fine wines uniquely assembled from labrusca, hybrid, and vinifera grapes by proprietor/winemaker Keith Pritchard. Cozy tasting room, gift shop, informal tours, and picnicking. Mon.-Sat. 1-7 pm and by appointment.

Directions
Take US Route 33 towards Lancaster and exit on State Route 674. Follow SR 674 South (right for those directionally challenged) 6.5 miles to the winery on the left side of the road. To obtain specific driving directions to Slate Run Vineyard, click on the image of the map to the left.

Apple
Our only fruit wine is a semi-dry wine quite different from most apple wines in that it is vinous in character making it suitable for table use. Touch of cinnamon.

Finale
This wine is made from late harvested Vignoles grapes, with a significant amount of botrysized grapes, giving the wine a honey, apricot, and pineapple character. Finale is sweet at slightly over 13% residual sweetness, but not syrupy.

Premblage
Bordeaux styled red wine with very long skin contact time and oak aging. Has a classic peppery character.
|
Premblanc
This is a French styled dry white wine with balanced oak and with malolactic fermentation qualities.
|
Prembourg
Medium plus bodied, dry oak aged red wine made from Lemberger grapes. In Austria known as BlauFrankisch (Blue Frank).

Premcess
A German styled white wine with more intense fruit qualities and a light spicy character.
|
Premcru
Medium bodied dry red Burgundy style wine. Oak aged, but smooth with silky tannins.

Rosily
Semi-sweet pink wine with good balance. Made from select hybrid grapes with Concord and Steuben added to give it a fruity character and its rosy color.

Rurban Red
Soft sweet red wine with balancing tannins made from Concord and Steuben grapes and fermented with the skins from Slate Rouge for color and flavor moderation.

Slate Blanc
This is a fruity dry white wine with slight oak overtones and an aromatic bouquet. Made from Chardonel grapes, which is a hybrid of Chardonnay and Seyval Blanc.

Slate Garnet
A full bodied dry red wine with long skin contact time, malolactic fermentation, and oak aging.
|
Slate Gem
A German styled wine with crisp acidity in balance with fruitness and slight sweetness.
|
Slate Rouge
A soft fruity dry red wine with shortened skin contact time, cool fermentation, and no oak.

Winsome
A mildly sweet white wine made from Niagara, Reliance, and select hybrid grapes.
