  Echelon Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon
The warm weather in January and March of 2004 resulted in early budbreak. Spring and summer were relatively mild in the Central Coast, leading to even development. The Cabernet Sauvignon harvest began in mid-October, with very ripe grapes showing good flavors.
  Echelon Vineyards Chardonnay
The 2005 vintage saw optimal conditions with cool nights, warm days and no heat spikes. This kept vine stress to a minimum and allowed time for the large clusters to fully ripen. The Chardonnay grapes have excellent color and flavors. This is one of the best vintages in the last 10 years.
  Echelon Vineyards Merlot
2003 started out with warm weather in March, then progressed to one of the wettest Aprils ever. A heat spell in late spring caused poor set in many varieties, ultimately increasing flavor intensity. After a hot summer the weather cooled, allowing the grapes time to develop flavor maturity before harvest.
Echelon Vineyards Pinot Grigio Esperanza Vineyard
The 2005 vintage saw optimal conditions with cool nights, warm days and no heat spikes. This kept vine stress to a minimum and allowed time for the large clusters to fully ripen. The Pinot Grigio and Viognier grapes have excellent color and flavors. This is one of the best vintages in the last 10 years.
