Vino Noceto
Welcome to Vino Noceto! Established in 1987 by Suzy & Jim Gullett, we’re a small, family-run vineyard and winery, renowned for our premium Sangiovese wines. A pioneer in the renaissance of this noble Tuscan varietal, we introduced our first wine with 110 cases of the 1990 vintage from our then 3-acre vineyard. We have now grown to almost 8,000 cases of eight different Sangiovese wines and have 24 producing acres of estate-grown Sangiovese. And to round out the cellar, we also produce two Zinfandels, a Barbera and a Moscato Bianco. We are located in Shenandoah Valley, California, in the beautiful Sierra Foothills about one hour east of Sacramento. We are open for tasting weekdays from noon until 4 PM and weekends from 11 AM until 5 PM. We also welcome visitors at other times by appointment. In the tasting “barn,” you may enjoy our popular “Normale” Sangiovese, a Riserva Sangiovese, or one of our several block-designated Sangioveses. In the warmer spring through autumn months, enjoy a refreshing splash of Frivolo, a light and lively moscato bianco or our lively, yet sophisticated Rosato Sangiovese. We are often asked how we chose our name. Noceto means walnut grove in Italian. Our 1887 ranch house sits amidst 80 walnut trees. Noceto is also the sister city of Walnut Creek, Suzy's home town. It is short, simple, and easily recognized. Most importantly, we like it.

2003 Misto di Sangiovese
Misto Sangiovese is an estate field blend of Sangiovese, Trebbiano and Malvasia – the Trebbiano extracting depth and color, the Malvasia adding tropical overtones. It’s a wonderfully drinkable, aromatic, fruity wine.

Dos Oakies Sangiovese
Great structure and classic Italian, Sangiovese flavors, this 100% estate Sangiovese Grosso comes from the oldest portion of our vineyard, planted in 1987. How did we choose the name "Dos Oakies?" This vineyard block spans two oak trees -- one short and squat, the other tall and thin. You can take it from there.
Ferrero Ranch Zinfandel
From Ferrero Ranch's 1917 and 1947 vineyards. This is a lovely, elegant, fruit-forward, friendly old-vine Zinfandel. Consulting winemaker, Stacey Gregersen, claims it is the best spaghetti wine she's ever had!
Frivolo
Our spritzy, refreshing, lower alcohol Moscato is back! A blend of 75% moscato bianco and 25% orange muscat, Frivolo makes a great hot tub wine for the winter months, a wonderfully refreshing summer sipper by the pool, or a perfect companion to biscotti, cheese or fruit.
Grappa di Sangiovese
An aromatic, smooth, exceptionally fruity grappa made for us by St. George Spirits, using local Shenandoah Valley Sangiovese fruit from the Bray vineyard.
Hillside Sangiovese
Deep yet elegant, with overtones of sweet oak. This 100% estate Sangiovese Piccolo comes from the hillside on our ranch-house parcel. A truly lovely wine that captures Suzy’s heart.
Lindsteadt Barbera
With a rich, deep, lush, dark cherry-berry fruit, a touch of spice, and soft, silky tannins, this fruit-packed full-bodied Barbera explodes in your mouth. It's a wine that speaks for itself.
Marmellata Sangiovese
Deep, spicy, earthy, rich, big, meaty, with anise, chocolate, coffee, and a lingering finish – this describes none other than Marmellata. This 100% estate Sangiovese Grosso selection from Italy's Biondi-Santi Vineyard was brought into this country in the late 80's by Robert Pepi.
Noceto Sangiovese
Our flagship Sangiovese is packed with the forward, ripe, cranberry, cherry/berry fruit that marks Noceto's style. The “normale” is a delicious food wine - great with tomato-based dishes, pasta and pizza, or anything from salmon to lamb. A great value to boot!

OGP Grappa di Zinfandel
The Zinfandel grappa by St. George Spirits displays the complex, spicy fruit of the Orginal Grandpere Vineyard.
OGP Zinfandel
The epitome of Sierra Foothill old-vine Zinfandel - dust and spice with complex, intense fruit. Enjoyed by Californians since the 1860's, the Original Grandpere Vineyard is the world's oldest, documented, producing Zinfandel vineyard. Silver medal winner.
Riserva Sangiovese
This fruit-packed, well-balanced, complex Sangiovese is a blend of selected lots of superior fruit to provide the best wine we could make from the vintage. It is a wine of full body and deep color; rich flavor with a lingering finish; dark cherry-berry fruit; rich, jammy, berry nose; and hints of spice and cassis.
Rosato di Sangiovese
Made in the style of a fine rosé, our rosato is crisp yet sophisticated, just barely off-dry, with bright cherry Sangiovese flavors. Great with a light meal or appetizers, and a suprisingly wonderful companion to spicy ethnic foods.
