In 1944, Cosmo Anthony Laurello owned and operated a small winery in Ashtabula, Ohio, serving the local area with wine and fresh pressed juice. As wine consumption in America declined, and beer came into favor, he closed the winery and went to work for the New York Central Railroad. In 1957, having his fill of working for someone else, he started a small railroad construction company. He asked his son and daughter-in-law, Larry & Ida, to join the company in 1962. By the mid 70's, Larry's sons and nephews began working in the railroad industry.
Since 2002 the dream of owning a winery has become Larry Jr's. and his wife Kim's reality. This event tied the generations back together.

Chambourcin 2002
A Gold Medal winner, our Chambourcin is a medium bodied red wine, rich in color with intense black cherry accents. It is aged with oak chips for 9 months and is Nouveau style (freshly bottled young) to retain its fruity flavor. A splash of Cab Franc is added to smooth the finish.

Chardonnay
Chardonnay fermented in stainless steel and aged in Hungarian oak for 11 months. This full bodied white has hazelnut and butterscotch flavors that dance on your tastebuds.

Connie’s Blush
Blend of Vidal and Chambourcin. Semi- sweet blush wine. This wine is in memory of Connie Compola. It signifies her abundant blushing love she shined on all who new her.

Cosmo 2003
Cosmo, named after Larry's grandfather Cosmo Anthony Laurello, is a Super Tuscan style blend of 75% Sangiovese 25% Merlot. This dry red wine has intense sweet red cherries on the palate followed by a slight taste of plum from the Merlot.

Late Harvest Vidal
Late Harvest Vidal is made from the Vidal grape. The flavor is lighter in body than our Ice Wine and reflects the flavors of honey, apricot and citrus. This wine is harvested late in the season to create its intense flavor and concentrated sugar content.

Spicy full bodied red with soft tannins and the nose is full of black currant, plum and soft pepper.

Niagara
Niagara is a semi-sweet white wine with a characteristic grapey nose. It contains 3.5% residual sugar.

Pinot Grigio
Pinot Grigio- Off Dry white wine 2004 vintage- This wine has a very nice acid balance with light body but succulent flavor and texture.

Pinot Noir
Rich garnet color with scents of cherries and vanilla. Ripe blackberry and cherry fruit flavors. A long and elegant finish. Serve at room temperature with grilled Copper River salmon.

Sweet Genevieve (ICE WINE)
Our gold winning Sweet Genevieve, named after Kim's mother Genevieve Trivison, is a luscious ice wine with flavors of honey, apricots and pears. This wine has a strong backbone of acid that balances well with the 18% Residual Sugar. Great as a substitute for desert Sweet Genevieve will cap off a wonderful evening.

Vidal Blanc
Vidal Blanc is a semi dry white table wine that is light and crisp. It has 1.5 residual sugar.
