Made from hand-selected premium grapes from our Rutherford vineyard, this 100% Napa Valley Chardonnay is noted for its complex aromas, featuring hints of apple and citrus. Barrel fermented and aged ten months in French oak, this unique wine offers toasty oak and full fruit flavors.

The Merlot grapes that make up the 1998 Berthoud Merlot were harvested in separate lots on October 11th and 13th. The fruit was handpicked into 40 lb. wooden boxes and crushed directly into open top redwood vats. For 10 days, several times per day, all members of the Berthoud family took turns punching down the cap to ensure maximum color extraction. Post fermentation, the wine was pressed in a 19th century basket press and pumped into 60-gallon French oak barrels to age. After 22 months, the wine emerged loaded with ripe plum and cherry notes, with exceptional concentration and balance, to be enjoyed at its peak through 2008.

This is our second vintage of Viognier from our vineyard just north of the town of Napa. Adverse weather conditions, yielding very low tonnage, resulted in a limited crop. This 100% Viognier features inviting tropical aromas and refreshing flavors of peach and pineapple.

Twenty-two months of barrel aging in French oak kelps create the creamy texture and velevty smooth finish that will invite you back for continued pleasure and enjoyment.

This beautiful, smooth 100% Napa Cabernet Sauvignon offers enticing aromas of black cherry and cassis, followed by full, ripe fruit flavors and a hint of spiced oak. Barrel aged sixteen months in American oak, the soft tannins help create a supple texture that fills the mouth with layers of flavor and a long, lingering finish.
