  2002 Cabernet Sauvignon
The Bordeaux styling of our 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon enhances the wine’s concentrated and classic varietal character. On the nose heady aromas of sweet black cherry encase notes of toasted oak, smoke and rose petals. In the mouth, hints of melted bittersweet chocolate, smoke, black currants and ripe blackberry complement the sweet, full-bodied core, firm tannins and smooth structure.
  Mendocino Old Vine Zinfandel
The 2003 Mendocino Old Vine Zinfandel is juicy and mouth filling with a graceful balance of vivid fruit and varietal spice. Heady aromas of plum, boysenberry cordial, briar, soy sauce, and Zinfandel spice lead to succulent flavors of black raspberry, hints of pepper and cocoa, along with seasoned notes of vanilla and American oak spice. This wine is drinking beautifully now, but will continue to develop for another three to four years.
  Napa Cabernet Franc
Our 2003 Cabernet Franc reveals deep and beguiling aromas of raspberry pie, blue plums and warm spice tones. Well-integrated tannins balance upfront tastes of red berry compote, crushed blueberries, black tea and olive, creating a synthesis of fruit and herbal characters. A lengthy, understated finish of sweet cocoa and lightly toasted oak highlights the rich, round mouth feel.
  Napa Lot 1
Dark and inky with ruby-garnet tones, our fifth vintage of Lot 1 offers multi-faceted aromas of black cherry, candied rhubarb, smoke, baking cocoa, cedar-spice and mineral. Smooth, round mouth-coating tannins and a ripe, full-bodied texture surround complex flavors of blackberry conserve, black raspberry, currant, vanilla extract and cinnamon. Recommended drinking time is one to two years after release, maximum suggested aging is seven years after release.
  Napa Merlot
The complex nose of our 2003 Merlot displays rich, opulent aromas of raspberry jam, plum sauce, violet pastiche, baking spice, and a hint of earthiness. With each sip, the initial broad and juicy flavors of mulberry and black cherry expose the spicy, secondary characters of fruitcake, toast and nutmeg. This elegant, affable wine offers earlier drinking than the two previous vintages.
  Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Our 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant full-bodied wine with gradually revealed layers of varietal nuances. Aromas of lovely Morello cherry and rich cassis are followed by understated tones of toasted pecans and cedar wood that encourage exploration. Flavors are juicy and mouth-watering with notes of blackcurrant, Damson plums and cinnamon stick. This is a wine to savor with good company.
  Napa Zinfandel
Our 2003 Napa Zinfandel is a bright and immediately likeable wine. The complex nose displays vibrant notes of Danube cherry with undertones reminiscent of curry and Thai basil. Medium bodied with moderate tannins and balanced oak, this wine fills the mouth with flavors of fresh raspberry puree, strawberry-rhubarb preserves, and barrel spice. This wine is drinking optimally now, with an aging potential of three to four years.
  Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Our second vintage of Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon highlights the uniquely intense varietal characters of our Cabernet Sauvignon estate grapes. This is a full-bodied, well-balanced wine with black fruit notes driving the initial aromas and flavors. The addition of Merlot smoothes the mouth feel while Petit Verdot enhances the wine’s structure and aging potential. On the nose, multi-layered notes of violet, smoke, mushroom, caramel and coffee beans accent plush aromas of blackberry preserves. On the palate, supple tannins support even flavors of plum, dark cherry, molasses, crème-brulee and mocha-tinged French oak barrel culminating in a long, elegant, chocolaty finish. Allow this wine an hour or two to breathe and then slowly savor its delicious complexity.
