  Beatty Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon
Quintessential Beatty Ranch Cabernet is all about concentration of fruit and depth of flavor. This wine embodies those ideas. Aromas of Chocolate, Cherry, and Blueberry are followed by an exceptionally broad and deeply textured palette. The wine literally fills the mouth with flavor. Round and rich, the mountain tannins are almost forgotten, but come through lending balance and structure to the final impression. Not a wine to be trifled with.
  Beatty Ranch Zinfandel
This vintage delivered a monster of a wine. Big, broad shouldered and structured with reinforced steel. Typical of Beatty Ranch fruit, this wine leads with beautiful blackberry and black raspberry fruit. Concentrated and deep, the fruit is complimented by black pepper and chocolate in the finish. Despite the power and depth of flavor, the wine is elegant on the palate, showing a balance that is somewhat surprising in a wine with so much stuffing. It screams ZINFANDEL! And the echoes of that scream resonate through a long, rich finish.
  Black Sears Cabernet Sauvignon
The Howell Mountain Black Sears 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon is representative of the vineyard it is sourced from. Firm tannins frame a wine that is exotic by Howell Mountain Standards. Light aromas of sweet herb and wildflowers give way to deep flavors of cassis and black olive, with mineral and spice notes. Long on the finish, this wine is a baby, and should age gracefully for many years to come.
  Black Sears Zinfandel
Currents and Blackberries are mixed with exotic spices of cardamom, cinnamon, and white pepper. The initial fruit and spice mix gives way to coffee, cocoa and a touch of smoke. Exceedingly complex, this wine is a surprise to the palate, seemingly running in many directions at once. Despite the cacophony of interesting flavors, the wine is rich and smooth from beginning to end, offering an underlying creamy richness that carries the various fruit and spice components from initial attack through the long and elegant finish. This is a wine that offers a study in the possibilities of Zinfandel, pushing the bounds of flavor to areas where Zinfandel is not generally found.
  Cabernet Sauvignon
This Howell Mountain Cabernet offers aromas of cherry, blueberry and a slight earthiness up front. Powerful on the palate, which you would expect from this mountain fruit, it is nonetheless well-balanced and elegant. The wine fills the mouth with rich fruit, chocolate, and spice. All this, framed with firm tannins, leaves a long, lingering finish on the palate. Talk about the beauty and the beast, this wine is both, and will age gracefully for many years to come.
  HMV Cabernet Sauvignon
Howell Mountain Vineyards is excited to announce the addition of a new Cabernet Sauvignon to their portfolio. The wine is a blend of Cabernets from the two estate vineyards - Beatty Ranch and Black Sears Vineyard both in the Howell Mountain Appellation (54%), and Cabernet from the Napa Valley Appellation (46%). The aromas reveal blackberry, black cherry, a touch of juniper berry. With vibrant acidity and good length, the wine is soft and appealing - approachable with profound structure. The layout of the
  Old Vine Zinfandel
The wine shows sweet, ripe cherry with juicy, soft fruit. An almost blueberry like quality, mixed with hints of anise, giving this wine an intriguing nose. This leads into a beautiful mouth feel that is very silky and soft on the palate. The richness and luscious flavors follow through to a soft and lasting finish.
