Our motto at Yellow Springs Brewery is “Crafting Truth to Power.” Sure, our motto is a playful version of the famous phrase “Speak truth to power,” but it also reflects our sincere belief in the spirit of local community in a world where corporate conglomerates too often determine our tastes.
We believe in the spirit of local craft beer—that beer produced on a small scale is not only better and fresher, but also more fun and maybe even more rewarding to drink than beer brewed on a huge scale. Just like how locally grown produce tastes better and fresher, or how having a bit of locally made art hanging on your wall just feels better. Whether it’s art, food, or beer, knowing who made it and where it’s made just makes the product better.
