Actually, we have two very exciting projects that are finished and waiting for your enjoyment. The first is our winery building, complete with a total gravity-flow system that takes our rich, mountain fruit from the crush pad to the barrel as gently as possible. We also have a new tasting room, fully stocked with hospitality and ready for your arrival. You are invited to drink a glass of our mountain Cabernet while sitting on the patio, enjoying the lake and vineyard views. Our second project, that has us the most thrilled, is presenting you with the release of our 2001 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon! It is an intense blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc. Steve feels that this is the very best wine that we have produced to date. Our newer three vineyards continue to impress us as they mature and we feel their quality shows through in this vintage.

We are now able to treat the grapes and wine with the utmost care, enabling us to make wines that are more detailed, vibrant, and lush. We feel that something special happened in 2002, and the result is our most luscious, complex, and complete wine to date.

Sherwin Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, Estate, Spring Mountain
We are pleased to announce the release of our estate-bottled 2003 Sherwin Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon! This is only the second wine to be made entirely in our new gravity-flow winery. We are now able to treat the grapes and wine with the utmost care, enabling us to make wines that are more detailed, vibrant, and lush. We feel that something special happened in 2003, and the result is our most luscious, complex, and complete wine to date. This vintage produced 1,150 cases of our rich mountain wine, a blend of 80 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 15 % Merlot, and 5 % Cabernet Franc, originating solely from our Spring Mountain District Estate 2,000 feet above the Napa Valley.
