The process of growing grapes and preparing them for wine is a process we undertake with great care.
Our three-acre vineyard is nestled in quiet Bloomfield, Kentucky--just outside historic Bardstown. Preparations begin late in the Spring when family members gather on Easter Sunday to perform a "Blessing of the Vineyard" ceremony followed by a large plantation lunch. Once the ground has been concecrated, we begin planting for our upcoming season. Soil is loamy with magnesium deposits and limestone. These nutrients, combined with water and sunlight, contribute to the rich color and hearty flavors of our wines. Our white wines are very fruity with a great deal of body in the flavor.
Our varieties of wines include Cabernet Franc and Savignon, Chambourcin, and Chardonnay. We have partnered with neighboring vineyards to provide Riesling, Syrah and other varieties of wines.
Relax in a rocking chair in our gazebo with a glass of your favorite wine in hand as you gaze over the scenic vineyard. Stroll through the grounds early in the morning or enjoy a beautiful sunset surrounded by the grape vines. Come out in late Summer to watch our workers anxiouxly harvest the grapes for wine-making.

Directions
Springhill is located just 2 miles south of Bloomfield, Kentucky on US 55, south side of Exit 34 on the Bluegrass Parkway. Look for the signs! We're just 40 minutes away from Louisville, Lexington, and Elizabethtown.

This sweet rose is a blend of delicate floral varieties that provide a light body, sweet blossom flavors, and hues of roses for a soft touch visually and on the palate.

Nouveau Beaujolais
Refined, sophisticated, traditional, Springhill Vineyards has crafted this French hybrid to reflect the taste of the Old World. This medium bodied red wine has the perfect balance of tannins, robust fruit with layers of raspberry, black cherry and oak.

Old Tawny Port
A blend of very ripe Springhill varieties aged over four years in oak and stainless. You taste layers of caramel, jam, and nuts; not as sweet as some imported ports but with a full body and clean finish, ...perfect for after dinner.

Russell Red
This sweet red wine is named in honor of James Russell O'Daniel, the eldest of the three generations that started Springhill. Wonderfully sweet, and tempered with age makes it perfect for a dessert wine or for any occasion.

Victorian Blanc
We call this French hybrid varietal the "Chardonnay of the South" with its delicate color, nutty character, and apple undertones. Aged in American oak, This is a beautiful dry white with the perfect balance of fruits and acids.
