Bernat Santa Ynez Valley Syrah
A concentrated and inky big Syrah with Aromatics of black pepper, and earth. Flavors of blackberry jam, casis and dark Bing Cherry. Mouth feel of syrup and velvet. This is a slow sipping wine. A wine that makes a lasting impression. Decant or open two hours before drinking. Even better the second day. Take a bottle home after opening and try again the following day. Bottled September 2003. 345 cases produced from the small three acre estate vineyard. Two years in French and American oak barrels.
