Salida was conceived by veteran Washington winemaker Doug McCrea, inspired by his New Orleans roots from when the Vieux Carre’s Spanish architecture replaced the French wooden structures, preserved to this day with charming stucco facades and intricate wrought-iron balconies. Hardly coincidental, he launched Salida in 2006 producing his first Tempranillo.
