Beatty Cabernets are always vigorous, sometimes aggressive wines of great power and weight. This wine has berry aromas and flavors of the appellation but even more so, a true terroir that is unmistakable from this vineyard.

This Cabernet has a solid core of wild berry red fruit, blackberry, mulberry and raspberry. There are notes of jalapeño pepper and green and black olive. The '03 is balanced across the palate.

Highlands has always been fortunate to be one of the only producers of Black-Sears Cabernet. This wine is rich with spicy cherry, boysenberry, chocolate and licorice flavors that burst across the palate, lingering in the finish.

The aromas are full of Santa Rosa plums, with hints of judicious new toasted oak. Well-integrated tannins provide a full, rich, and fruity mouthfeel with suggestions of black cherry, toffee, and baking spices like cinnamon and allspice.

This Syrah is fruit-forward, with ripe berries and sweet Santa Rosa plum aromas and flavors. Very rich and supple, this Syrah drinks well now and will develop nicely over the next five years.

Highlands’ 2001 Beatty Ranch is high-toned and elegant, with very focused aromatic of fresh raspberries and strawberries, followed by hints of caramel and sweet oak spice.

The 2002 Beatty Ranch Zinfandel is like its 2001 predecessor, boasting a wonderful nose of strawberry and cherry with hints of cocoa. This vintage is also more powerful and mouth-filling than the 2001, with a suppleness and finesse of a great ripe Burgundy.

This Zinfandel possesses the unmistakable spice and black pepper nose of this vineyard, and by adding a dollop of Beatty Ranch Zinfandel, has added a brighter touch of red fruits for a more complex wine.

Flavors of raspberry, cooked strawberry, and a dash of cocoa powder aromas rise out of your glass. This wine is as elegant as Howell Mountain Zinfandel gets. It is rich across the palate and pairs well with a wide variety of dishes.
