Hooker Corner Winery

|
Jae Ann and Scott Brier started making wine in 2015 to share with family and friends. After receiving rave reviews, they began making plans to open a farm winery on their family farm in Pine Village, Indiana. Hooker Corner Winery was named after their geographical location. George Hooker established a one-room schoolhouse and a cemetery at the location. Residents of the area came to recognize it as "Hooker Corner". Hooker Corner is an extinct town in Pine Township of Warren County, Indiana, and is still recognized by the United States Geological Survey for the location of Hooker Cemetery. Scott and Jae Ann would be teased about their location when posting on social media sites as friends would notice that they were 'at Hooker Corner'. An additional fun fact is that Jae Ann's grandmother attended Hooker School when she was young.
In keeping with the double entendre' that the name Hooker Corner established in people's minds, we used the same idea when naming our wines and creating our wine label. Each wine name is intended as a double entendre', although you won't find anything more than great tasting wine at our winery! The label was also created to give a double meaning; however we have found that most women notice our wine glass first, and most men notice the woman's shirt and cleavage first! Huh???
