We set out to create something even more important than one of Virginia’s most exciting craft brands when we opened Sly Clyde.
We took our Grandfather Clyde’s childhood home, the very house that our father grew up in as well, and we did a massive year-long renovation to preserve what we could. We have been able to adaptively reuse Clyde’s house as a welcoming Tap Room.
Our goal has always been to craft amazing ciders, build goodwill, and renew a sense of community in one of Tidewater’s most unique communities, Phoebus. We wanted to become a thriving hub for families and friends to share a drink and some laughs. We couldn’t be more happy with the result.
Our 1.5 acre Farm Cidery is crafted just like our ciders to be unpretentious, relaxed, and unrushed. With local favorites on tap like Submersive and InkJet, and special Tap Room only ciders like Spinning Compass and Gose Ship, our greatest sense of achievement still comes from the smiles and laughter in the Tap Room or out on the Back Patio.
Craftily crushed from 100% Virginia Apples, we consider ourselves lucky to provide Hampton Roads some of Virginia’s best ciders.
