Slate Town Brewing Company is a New York Farm Brewery owned and operated by Brewer Glenn Wetherell and Susan Knapp, both of whom are branching out from Hicks Orchard and Slyboro Ciderhouse in Granville, NY. Susan co-owned and operated Hicks Orchard and was a co-founder of Slyboro Ciderhouse. Glenn was the hard cider maker at Slyboro Ciderhouse .
With a passion for brewing exceptional seasonal and traditional beer (with a healthy dose of experimental beer styles) and a love for their local rural/urban village, the duo purchased a 1930’s brick building on Main Street in Granville, breaking ground in the spring of 2017 as they embarked on the adventure of putting Slate Town Brewing Company on the map!
Slate Town Brewing Company opened it’s doors and taps started flowing Labor Day Weekend 2018. With 8 beers on tap and more to come, a cool industrial space, brewery equipment and space all on view, vintage pool table and indoor corn hole , Slate Town is a fun place to visit.
We are in our first stage of growth (getting the doors open). Our brewery kitchen is due to open in the coming months, with gastro-pub dishes. In the meantime we have food trucks on most weekends and bar snacks available. You are welcome to bring in food from our local restaurants to enjoy in out taproom. Hope to see you soon! Cheers!
