Soquel Vineyards

Soquel Vineyards was established in 1987 when twin brothers Peter and Paul Bargetto, and their childhood friend Jon Morgan decided to develop their own label and ended up producing some of the best wines in the Santa Cruz Mountains Appellation. Our three acre hillside vineyard (originally a part of a 52 acre parcel that was once owned by Peter and Paul’s grandfather) supplies the winery with Pinot Noir fruit, while the remainder is sourced from various vineyards from the Santa Cruz Mountains, Paso Robles and Napa Valley.
There are many interesting facts about our property… the handmade Italian roof tiles date back to the mid-1700s; Jon Morgan fashioned the winery doors from an old 12,000-gallon redwood tank salvaged from the original Bargetto winery; the driveway is lined with Italian cypress that were planted by Peter, his son Simone and father-in-law Michael Chissotti. Inside the stylish tasting room there is a custom made inlaid wood tasting counter with a large Italian-made tapestry. Large glass doors lead out to the patios and vineyard, with an amazing view of Monterey Bay. We love sharing our beautiful home with friends and family who appreciate fine wines.
