Montserrat Vineyards

|
Montserrat Vineyards, established in 1998, is located 6 miles east of Warrensburg, MO and just 50 miles from Kansas City. The winery is situated on the northern point of Bristle Ridge, giving the location a panoramic view from east to west. So vast is the view, in fact, it was commonly used as a "look-out point" during the Civil War. The town of Montserrat was laid out in 1870 and flourished boasting coalmines, brick and rail yards, churches, grocery store, and a rousting population of 255 people. Once alive with commerce, the town has only survived in the history books. The once proven homestead of noble pioneers is only a shadow on the ground …but now the newly planted vineyards crown the land with high hopes for the region.
