FULFILLING A DREAM. Great wine starts in the vineyard. Caton Vineyard has been carefully developed and is farmed with the goal of extracting every flavor and subtle nuance unique to each vineyard. The vineyards and winery began in the 1920's during prohibition when 16 acres were planted. In 1981 the Caton family bought the 105 acre mountain property with the idea of someday restoring and expanding the vineyards over the beautiful rolling hills. After a brief time as a real estate broker and developer in the Sacramento and Lake Tahoe area, Ty's passion for the wine business pulled him back home to redevelop the vineyards. With vision and persistence, Ty carved out and created the beautiful hillside vineyards where he now farms 40 acres made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Petite Sirah and Malbec. With the commitment to start small and grow slowly, Ty's limited production allows him to handcraft wines with varietal intensity and balance. His first vintage has received high praise from wine critics and wine lovers.

Cabernet Sauvignon

This unique wine shows aromas of vanilla, bright cherries with a hint of raspberry. On entry it has a rich, smooth texture with fruit flavors of cherries and blueberry leading to a vanilla and toasty oak finish.

This wine releases intense blackberry and black cherry notes in the nose, leading to deep boysenberry flavors. Lively, balancing acidity accompanies a smoky, rich
and concentrated finish.

Rose
This vibrant, crisp Rosé has excellent rouge color and is balanced with lively acidity and fruit flavors of strawberry rhubarb and watermelon. A fantastic summer wine!

Syrah
Combines aromas of smoke and butterscotch with flavors of blackberry, cassis and fig. This wine has a supple and voluptuous structure leading to a toasty oak finish.

Tytanium
This wine has aromas of black fruit, anise and cocoa. On entry, it has a velvety texture, exploding with ripe, dark cherry, blackberry and cassis flavors for a sweet and dense mid-palate impression followed by a long finish of fine tannins with hints of vanilla and chocolate. 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Syrah, 15% Petite Sirah, 5% Merlot

Zinfandel
A well-balanced Zinfandel, this wine shows aromas of sweet, bright cherries that lead to mild spice and pepper in the mouth. This is a crisp wine that leaves a velvety, bright fruit finish.
