Complex and aromatic beginning on the nose, the wine is full of violets, black cherry, plum, sweet chocolate and cassis. There are layers of flavor on the palate of crème brulee, chocolate, anise, and smoky toasted oak. Showing the characteristics of our mountain vineyard, this estate Cabernet is still young with firm structure and moderate tannins. Just opening up in the bottle, this wine will continue to develop with additional cellaring.

Full bodied with intense fruit, our first Merlot release is a big supple “keeper” with a perfect balance of fruit and structure. Dominated by dark fruit flavors of black currant, Bing cherries, plums and blackberry. A touch of cranberry and a mingling of coffee and vanillin. Rich spices and toasty oak fill the mouth for a long finish. Punch cap fermented, hand pressed, and aged 19 months in French Oak.

Big and mouth filling with juicy berry and rich peppery spices. 2001 vintage marks our first release of our Petite Sirah. Originally planted to blend with our Zinfandel, Nils found it to be exceptional when sampled in blending sessions, and suggested we craft a limited Petite Sirah bottling. Punch cap fermented, hand pressed, and aged 24 months in French and American Oak.

Rich and mouth filling, this distinctive old vine Sauvignon Blanc is loaded with crisp citrus fruit including pink grapefruit and Meyer lemon. Layers of tropical fruit including sweet pineapple, melon and guava mingle with floral notes of honeysuckle and orange blossom. A hint of sweet grass mingles with a touch of vanillin and nutmeg to round out the mouth. Supple, with a nice balance of acidity that carries on for a long finish.

A big wine with luscious janmy and mature fruit including ripe boysenberries and blueberries, black cherries, plum, and violets. Rich and spice laden with notes of vanillin, chocolate, lots of pepper, Asian spices, tobacco and lots of toasty oak add further complexity. A cellar worthy zin with firm structure and moderate tannins. Punch cap fermented, hand pressed, aged 20 months in French and American Oak (1/3 French, 2/3 American).

Winemaker Nils Venge hand selected the best of our Zinfandel lots and aged them for 20 months in new French Oak to craft a 100% Zinfandel reserve wine that was bottled unfiltered and unfined. Beautiful luscious and rich with lots of bright cherry, blackberry and black raspberry. Cola, pepper and clove spices are accented with caramelized flan and sweet toasty oak. Rich and full on the mouth with a long and elegant finish. Punch cap fermented, hand pressed, aged 24 months in new French Oak, unfiltered.
