Antica Napa Valley
|
|
ANTICA is a symbol for Antinori California and expresses in Italian our family's passion for winemaking passed along 26 generations. The Antinori Family history is a narrative about devotion to winemaking that is woven through six centuries and stretches from the family's lengendary vineyards in Tuscany to our newest estate in Califorinia.
Antica Napa Valley is a breathtaking estate set high in the eastern mountains of the Napa Valley. Located in the remote Atlas Peak District, the 550-acre estate produces only small lots of wines, a testament to the discipline and care of the Antinori Family. Its hilly terrain, rocky soils, high elevations and beautiful landscape create above all an estate ideal for winegrowing.

California Sauvignon Blanc
This low alcohol Sauvignon Blanc represents our ambition to produce sancerre-esque white wine. There are bright aromas of mint and green apple. Lush textures combine with flavors of nectarine, apricots and minerals leaving a bone-dry finish that just goes on and on and on and on...
This civilized wine can be consumed any time without the meltdown associated with high alcohol California wines.

California Zinfandel
The California Zinfandel starts out with aromas of raspberries and black peppercorns, layered with enjoyable flavors of cranberries and blackberry that come together on the palate. Reach deep enough and you will find hints of creme brulee, with soft but noticeable tannin on the finish.
|
Contra Costa Zinfandel
Black and purple coloration. Rhone-like aromas of game, white pepper and blackberries. A profile of mixed mushrooms and berry jam on the palate is embraced by ripe tannins to hold this elegant assemblage.
|
Lodi Zinfandel
Our Lodi Zinfandel's extraordinary black color offers you an indication of what's in store. Passionate aromas of blackberry, cherry and cocoa lead you to the jar of flavor on the palate. Once there it's all jam, jelly and preserves with velvety tannins and chocolate truffles on the finish.

Mendocino Petite Sirah
Monstrous Petite from high up on the Eagle Point Ranch just south of Ukiah. This wine is black/purple in color, with richly concentrated blackberries, cranberries and pepper flavors, followed by a long, lingering finish.
|
Mendocino Zinfandel
"In the glass a dense ruby colored wine with focused and clean boysenberry aromas. Ripe flavors of summer plums stand out on the palate. Creme brulee and candied Apple mixed with complex flavors of cardamom, clove and peppercorns finish this ageable wine."

Napa Valley Petite Sirah
Visually this looks like black ink. On the nose, I am struck first by the black & white pepper aromas followed by wild boysenberries. For a primarily Spring Mountain Petite Sirah, the tannins on the plate are amazingly tame allowing the lush berry flavors to announce themselves.
This wine taste like a combination of boysenberries and a black peppercorn sauce. The finish is a magical blend of tannin and bright fruit.

Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc
For Sauvignon Blanc, Napa is magic. The flavors we have experienced in this wine challenge our ability to define and describe it. But here goes… The first tier is a nose of compressed flavors of citrus blossom, and finely cut herbs. Then the middle tier is a honeyed platform of star anise and mandarin orange with a finish of grapefruit and stone fruit, like a white peach.
