Aviator Vineyard & Winery is located in the hangar at AGA Farms. The tasting room is a great place to spend time with friends and family enjoying our 10 estate grown wines. Our wine list features Riesling, Zinfandel, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Rose’, Apple – made with apples grown at Solebury Orchard – and the most popular among customers, First Class Cabin, a blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon aged in whiskey barrels.
The winery, which opened in 2023, is run by Central Bucks High School math teacher Chris Burns and AGA Farms owner Dan Devery. The operation is an outgrowth of the family-owned and operated 100-acre farm that’s been in his wife’s family since 1980. The winery name was derived from the half-mile airstrip situated on the property, one of few privately owned airports in the five-county area. The 2,000-square-foot tasting room is an airplane hangar with 42-foot wide pull-down doors that lead out to an open area where, in warmer months, visitors can bring their own blankets and chairs to relax by the water.
Chris, his wife, Laura, and their four children are the third and fourth generation, respectively, to assist with the farm’s operation. Adding wine to the pick-your-own pumpkin, hayride, and corn maze season in the fall; and cut-your-own Christmas tree in the winter months was a way to sustain farm operations for another generation.
