Erie Shore Vineyard and Winery was established by Harvey & Alma Hollingshead. Located south of Harrow making it Canada's most southern winery. The first vines were planted in 1997, and over 15 acres of European varieties are now established. Harvey & Alma opened a wine juice business in 2001, offering juice to area home winemaker's. In December 2002 they opened their winery offering 7 inaugural vintages.

Directions
From Windsor: Travel 12.2 miles south on Howard Avenue to the very end at Malden Community Centre and turn left onto County Road 20 (Formerly Hwy 18). Travel 1.3 miles to the very first exit, Essex Road 41, turn right and continue 1.3 miles to County Road 50. Turn left onto County Road 50 and travel 2.3 miles to Erie Shore Vineyard, which is on the North or left side of the road. From the Midwest USA: travel to Detroit, Michigan and cross the Detroit River by the Ambassador Bridge OR Windsor-Detroit Tunnel. Remain on Huron Church Road from the Ambassador Bridge OR Remain on Ouellette Avenue from the Tunnel. Continue
to travel south for approx. 7 miles and turn right onto Howard Avenue South (County Rd 9). Chardonnay
Smooth, dry with vanilla-butter, pineapple and spice. Lovely to sip on its own or harmonized with full flavoured foods. Match is with roast red meats, turkey, goose, veal, pork, salmon, and a variety of cheeses.

Summer Sun Cabernet
Summer Sun is a chilled red wine made of 100% Cabernet Franc, gently pressed at harvest allowing only minimal skin contact. The result is a delicate salmon coloured wine with a vibrant citrus nose with pronounced lime, fresh grapefruit with a dusting of sugar on the palate. It is matched with grilled vegetables, cold cuts, cheese, sole, oyster, snapper, salmon, quiche, burgers, ribs and hot spicy foods.

VQA Baco Noir
Rich, full flavour, with deep current flavour and berry aroma. A rustic, vintage year resulting in an exceptional Baco Noir of reserve quality. This will age wonderfully in a wine cellar. Matched with grilled or roast red meats, lamb, dark poultry, pizza, tomato based pastas and cheeses.

VQA Blancs de Blanc
A crisp, refreshing, dry wine with pleasant citrus flavours. Medium bodied, clean finish. Pleasant floral-citrus bouquet. Great with appetizers, an apertif, seafood, shell fish, white meats, pates, fruits and cheese.

VQA Cabernet
Enjoy the rich, intense fruit, full flavour, with deep current flavour and berry aroma of this classic 2005 Erie Shore Vintage. 2005 was a vintage year resulting in this Cabernet of reserve quality.
Matched with grilled or roast red meats, game birds, chicken, turkey, vegetables, pizza, tomato based pastas and firm cheeses.

VQA Duet
Excellent, smooth, medium bodied wine, softly cellared in our French oak barrels. Lovely finish. A blend of 85% Zweigelt and 15% Cabernet Franc, giving black pepper and current flavours. Zweigelt grows wonderfully on the Erie Shore. It is an early season blue vinifera. Matched with grilled meats, white meats, roast meats, pork and pizza.

VQA Ridge Red
Medal Winner-All Canadian W.C. 2005. The popular, full-bodied, Ridge Red is the Erie Shore Vineyard blend of Baco Noir and Chambourcin. The full bodied character of Baco Noir is softened by the fruitiness of Chambourcin giving pleasant, full berry and current flavours and bouquet. Matched with grilled or roast red meats, lamb, dark, poultry, pizza, tomato based pasta's and cheeses.

VQA Riesling
A crisp, refreshing dry wine with green apple and peach flavours and a pleasant fruity finish. It is great with turkey, pork, salmon, veal, fowl, lamb, fruit sauces and condiments, vegetables, pastas with cream and cheese sauces, dressed salads and cheeses.

Lovely off-dry white wine with delightful floral-citrus bouquet, mild citrus on the palate, with apple, pear, kiwi, pleasant finish. Matched with appetizers, seafood, shell fish, white meats, pates, fruits and cheese.
