Carabella vineyard is an ideal 49 acre site in Oregon's North Willamette Valley. It was planted in the spring of 1996 to five clones of pinot noir, Dijon 76 chardonnay and pinot gris. The vineyard is now in its 7th harvest. The wines and stories featured here are about Carabella's own label, founded by winemaker Mike Hallock. Carabella's grapes are also featured in vineyard designate wines made by Rex Hill, Daedalus, Owen Roe and Zelko.

Chardonnay
The Dijon 76 trademark viscuous mouthfeel with a touch of minerality on the finish is very evident in the 2003! Lovely fruit character emerges in waves from the East Block, opening with lively lemon peel and pineapple.

Pinot Gris
Lovely floral character coupled with white peach and ripe pear aroma, balancing well with the crisp finish. This wine has really rounded out nicely since the spring release. It is featured by the glass at several prominent restaurants around the country.

Pinot Noir
Lovely brown spice on the nose. The entry has red cherry fruit character, the mid-palate some underlying blueberry notes. Complex and layered.
