Shelburne Vineyard
|
|
Tours are available year round by appointment.
We are also open for tastings for 5 people or more, also by appointment.
Our winery is extremely modest, (quite cramped, and crammed with tanks and barrels of our fine wine leaving very little free floor space) and we conduct our tasting in this small space. We'd love to have you visit, but don't expect a glamorous interior setting. The vineyard is another story....wonderful VT vistas near Lake Champlain. We are near VT Teddy Bear Co, The Shelburne Museum and Shelburne Farms.

Vidal Blanc Ice Wine
Usually harvested in December at 15 degrees F when the grapes are partially frozen, with only the sweetest juice still in slush form. We aim to harvest the first fall day that temperature is reached. In 2003 we harvested on Dec 3 at 15F, and in 2004 on Dec 11 also at 15F.
