Woodinville Wine Cellars
|
|
Woodinville Wine Cellars is a small boutique winery that produces limited quantities of handcrafted wines from some of Washington’s premier vineyards. Each wine is fermented in small lots and barrel aged in French and American Oak. Each lot and individual wine barrel is meticulously monitored from the moment the fruit is hand harvested, to the day the wine is gently bottled by hand. This artisan approach allows us to preserve the delicate balance of aromas and unique characteristics of each wine.

Ausonious
Our Red Wine blend is named after the Greek philosopher Ausonious. Inky black in color. Lively, almost perfumed-fruit leaps from the glass. A forward attack of copious amounts of lush fruit abounds. The mid-palate is expansive with well integrated acid and full tannins. The finish is lengthy and clean,
continuing to evolve in the glass. It should drink well over the next ten-plus years.

Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve
Almost black in color with a black-raspberry rim. The nose reveals a full dose of cassis and dark fruits. This wine begins with a silky smooth texture that
evolves into a mid-palate of rich, jam-packed fruit. Equal portions of bold tannins, rich fruit, and toasty oak dance together during a forty-five second finish.
It should continue to evolve and cellar for fifteen-plus years.

Danielle
We named our Sauvignon Blanc Danielle, in honor of our Winemaker’s daughter. The 2004 Danielle exemplifies classic Sauvignon Blanc aromas of gooseberry and grapefruit followed by refreshing tones of citrus and crisp acidity. Full, round and vibrant flavors make this an excellent wine to pair with
a range of flavors from seafood and shellfish to spicy ethnic cuisines .

Little Bear Creek
This is newest member of the Woodinville Wine Cellar's family. The inaugural release of Little Bear Creek, should not be missed! We named this wine in honor of the creek that runs beside our winery. Every autumn the creek fills with salmon and excitement builds as the winery prepares for another harvest. This blend is a combination of select barrels, inspired by the complexity of nature.

Merlot
The color offers a rich core with a bright meniscus. Dark fruit emanates from the bouquet intermingled with subtle hints of stone, fruit, and eucalyptus.
Forward acid is followed by a lush, creamy mid-palate revealing well balanced fruit. The finish is lengthy, ending with sweet fruit and subtle suggestions of
oak. It should evolve nicely in the cellar over the next five years.

Sauvignon Blanc
Filling the glass with tropical aromas of pineapple, mango, and citrus, this wine is round and focused. The palate is lush with long, lingering flavors of white grapefruit and sweet citrus. The finish is crisp and clean yet complex and full textured. A great wine with spicy foods, seafood, and sunny days!

Syrah
Brilliant inky dark color, with rich blackberry, blueberry, mocha, and vanilla bean aromas. Long round flavors of plum, chocolate and spice linger on the palate. Tannins are soft and plush; substantial enough to age 5-7 years. Enjoy with grilled red meats or a rack of Lamb.
