The color is a deep purple that reflects the extraction made possible by some very ripe fruit. The nose explodes with dark berries, leather and burnt spice. The palette shows excellent balance with spice, nutmeg, jammy berries and a finish that lingers long after the wine is gone.

This is not your ordinary Pinot. We achieved some exceptional extraction by maintaining a cool fermentation regime and by not over pressing the wine. The nose features fantastic berries and a bit of anise with just a hint of oak. The wine fills your mouth with cascades of berry, spice and earthen qualities. The tannins in this wine hint at what it will be if you are patient.

The nose says “Massive”. The tannins scream “Sophisticated”. The 2003 Syrah is an interesting wine. The extraction was terrific with great color and a powerful nose. However the wines are incredibly approachable as the tannin structure is soft and sophisticated even a few months after bottling. The nose features jammy blackberries, dark leathery undertones and nutmeg spice. Rasberry, Black pepper, leather, smoke and dark berries are evident on the palette. Hints of clove, nutmeg and vanilla add to the complexity of the finish.
