MarshAnne Landing

MarshAnne Landing Welcome to MarshAnne Landing, a small family-run winery and vineyard located in the heart of the Umpqua Valley in southern Oregon, just 2 hours from Crater Lake and 20 minutes north of Roseburg. Our goal is to produce food-friendly "out of this world" wines from grapes traditionally grown in the Rhone and Bordeaux regions of France. Syrah, Grenache, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc (along with a few other interesting varietals) have all been given a home in our beautiful vineyard located at the site of a former stagecoach stop in the rolling hills north of Roseburg, Oregon.

Directions
3 miles off I-5 at exit 142, turn east at Metz Hill exit, continue on Goodrich Highway to Hogan Road. MarshAnne Landing is the first driveway on right.

  Cabernet Merlot
This release is MarshAnne Landing's first Bordeaux style blend. The 2002 vintage combines Cabernet Sauvignon (53%), Merlot (33%), and Cabernet Franc (13%) into a rich mouthfilling spicy plum berry blend showing hints of cedar and licorice.
  Chardonnay
MarshAnne Landing's 2003 Chardonnay was harvested in September, barrel fermented, left in the barrel on its lees for 10 months prior to filtering and bottling. The wine exhibits rich mouth filling citrus and tropical fruit along with hints of vanilla. Serve slightly chilled with poultry, pasta and seafood dishes.
  Cote du Umpqua
MarshAnne Landing's 2003 Cote du Umpqua is a spicy Rhone style blend of Syrah (44%) and Grenache (51%) and Mourverde that shows plum, berry, and dark cherry flavors accompanied with elements of licorice and mint. This wine is an excellent accompaniment to a wide range of Mediterranean style foods. Grapes were hand harvested, fermented in open top containers, pressed gently in a basket bladder press, and then aged for 10 months in small oak barrels prior to blending.
  Merlot
MarshAnne Landing's 2002 Merlot is "Out of this world"! Rich mouth-filling bright berry fruit flavors including raspberry and plum along with coffee and anise flavors found in the finish make this wine a stellar accompaniment for a wide range of foods or an evening by the fire.

  Pinot Noir
MarshAnne Landing's 2003 Pinot Noir is a light bodied red wine showing classic bright cherry fruit. Grapes were harvested at the end of September, fermented in open top fermenters, and then aged for 10 months in small oak barrels prior to bottling.
  Red Planet
For some wine consumers, ist is all about red wine and they don't want a "War of the Worlds" with white wines. Red Planet launches MarshAnne Landing into the universe of Bordeaux style red blends. NASA's Hubble Space Telescope photo of Mars on the label reminds us that the glory of the universe may also be found on earth in "out of this world" wines. This mouth filling beauty shows bright fruit flavors of cherry, currant and plum. Red Planet will bring peace to the table when served with rich stews, smoked meats, pastas, and other hearty fare.
  Syrah
Blended with 96% Syrah and 4% of Viognier, the 2003 Syrah brings together both components of the famous Cote Rotie wines. The floral, spicy fruit bouquet precedes peppery, dark fruit and earthy flavors accompanied by licorice and mint. This wine will make a fine accompaniment to a wide range of Mediterranean style foods and grilled meat dishes. Grapes for this blend were hand harvested, fermented together (i.e., co-fermented) in open top fermenters, pressed gently in a basket bladder press, and then aged 10 months in small oak barrels prior to bottling.
  Syrah Grenache
The 2001 vintage marks the first harvest for Syrah and Grenache at Marshanne Vineyard. Although this lighter style blend is dominated by the peppery Syrah (84%), the Grenache (16%) shows its presence both in the bouquet and the bright berry fruit flavors of the wine.
