Stoneyard Distillery

Her name is Twinkie. The kettle, that is. She came from the old Hostess bakery before it was shuttered. Now, she works for us as a part of the hand-built column still that runs up through the floor, and doles out drops of Colorado Rum one at a time. Craftsmanship runs rampant around here. From the old stone yard to the distillery we built with our own two hands to this rum, enjoyed a sip at a time after a long days work. This isn’t Jamaica or Puerto Rico. It’s Dotsero, Colorado, the perfect place to make our rum. We concocted the idea over the kitchen table, crunching numbers and practicing our distilling by making the finest “water” around. Now, we use only Colorado beet sugar and pure water from the Eagle River. It flows down from the mighty Gore Range, through our natural volcanic flow and into our filtering system. If you’re in the neighborhood, drop by. Or keep an eye out for us at your local purveyor. Bottoms up!
