Three miles east of Lone Jack, MO, at the intersection of 50 Highway and Sam Moore Road. The Bynum family owns and operates the Bynum Winery. The family was amongst the earliest settlers to what became Lone Jack, Missouri in 1836. Mr. Bynum‘s great, great-uncle, George Shawhan was a famous whiskey maker before Prohibition. Carrying on the family tradition, Floyd Bynum opened the winery in 1989. Nestled in the rolling hills of western Missouri, not far from Kansas City, Bynum Winery is a 6-acre vineyard with plans to develop over 30 acres in time. They produce both red and white wines along with fruit wines. If you plan to visit Bynum Winery and need more information, please write. Hours: Monday and Wednesday - Noon to 4 pm. Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun - Noon to 5:30 pm.
