Harbinger Winery

Harbinger Winery Thank you for visiting Harbinger Winery, where our mission in this life is to create ultra premium and incredibly drinkable wines from Washington State. The point is to get you, the customer, to feel the void left in your cellar when all of the Harbinger Wines have been gleefully consumed! We go about doing this by purchasing the most intense and flavorful of grapes, then treating them like royalty from start to finish. Once selected, all of our fruit is then hand-picked and then crushed within hours of harvest. During fermentation, the caps are manually punched down several times a day. While very labor intensive, we at Harbinger firmly believe that by utilizing a hands on approach we are able to attain a much more individualized and expressive wine. With our reds we use no filtration or fining methods with the intention of leaving as much of the wines true character where it belongs: in the bottle.

Directions
Follow HWY 101 WEST out of Port Angeles and we are on the South side of the road in a large blue metal building that suspiciously like an old logging truck shop.

  Blackberry Bliss
This dessert wine tastes like fresh blackberries picked on a warm summer day. When I first tasted this wine I wasn't sure if I should drink it or pour it over ice cream. We'll just let you make up your own mind about this true Northwest gem. The 2006 Blackberry Bliss sold out in one weekend, but we are now taking orders for the 2007 Bliss. If you are truly interested I highly suggest preordering today as the 2007 will sell out as well.
  Cabernet Franc Rose'
Barrel fermented and aged in neutral oak, this little beauty is already showing nicely. Subtle fruit is integrated with just a touch of vanilla oak. Gentle acids and a hint of yeast give it a nice crisp finish that is sure to be a welcome summer crowd pleaser.
  Columbia Valley Syrah
Seductive and generous with its plush mouthful of ripe cherry, rich oak, and smooth tannins, this wine has the power and finesse of a trapeze artist. While very attractive from the first taste, the 2004 Syrah will benefit if it is allowed to breathe (ahhh, yet another opportunity to practice patience!). Only 143 Cases produced. *Silver Medal Winner*
  Cranberry Bliss
This wine is a blend of barrel-fermented chardonnay and cranberry wine from my cousin's cranberry bogs. It's sexy in a way that you may be embarrassed to tell your friends about, yet irresistibly sassy and undeniably northwest in its uniqueness. Don't deny yourself...
  NV Dynamo Red
This jewel has been described by many as, "So much more than just a Red Table Wine!" It has a well-balanced fruit and tannin structure which dances merrily from start to finish. Given the graceful yet consistent nature of this wine, Dynamo Red is a wonderful choice to pair with many a meals. Only 135 cases produced. *Silver Medal Winner*
  NV Dynamo White
When I was blending this petit fleur, the white wine pixies were flitting mischievously through the winery. Intensely aromatic riesling and sauvignon blanc dominate the bouquet and suggest a sweet wine to follow, but the pallet is jolted awake by the all-up-in-your business balance of fruit and acids that leave you feeling as invigorated as a glacially- fed river plunge. This wine pairs beautifully with spicy foods such as Thai cuisine, not to mention a crisp fruit plate filled with sharp cheeses.*Silver Medal Winner*
