  Avery's Blend
Named for the eldest of our children, Avery’s blend offers a delicious combination of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Viognier. The crisp apple, pear & grapefruit flavors of Pinot Gris in combo with the stonefruits & viscosity of Viognier and the aromatics of Pinot Blanc create an interesting yet complex blend. The fruit was sorted from our top vineyards and production was limited for this wine which will only be offered at Oswego Hills. If you’re looking for full body, lots of fruit, and a smooth finish give this wine a try.
  Marechal Foch
This is a wine grape gaining a huge, almost cult following. It is named after the World War I French General, Field Marshall Ferdinand Foch, and was developed in Alsace, France by a grape hybridizer Eugene Kuhlmann. The red grape is officially known as Kuhlmann 1882. It’s a cross of Goldriesling and an American Vitis Riparia-Vitis Rupestris vine. Two interesting things of note are that Marechal Foch is resistant to Phylloxera and it is classified as a Teinturier, meaning that this dark skinned grape has red rather than the white pulp found in most grapes. As a result, Marechal Foch has an intense deep ruby to purple color. Our wine is richly colored, offering an earthy nose similar to Merlot with a good balance between acid and tannin. Marechal Foch is not an overpowering heavy red wine. It is quite jammy, fruit forward and very drinkable with a smooth finish. Flavors such as cranberry, cherry, raspberries, and even chocolate come out. This wine is a nice alternative if you are looking for something unusual and different to try. In the summertime it even works well as a chilled red. It also looks most impressive when swirling your glass at a little soiree.
  Pinot Gris
Of the white wines available, Pinot Gris is rapidly becoming the everyday white dinner wine due to its range & flexibility with food. It has a nice light, golden appearance with a fruity nose. The style is crisp, clean and light without too dry of a finish. Flavors such as apple, pear, citrus & a touch of grapefruit really come through with this wine which can be drank alone or offer a wonderful compliment to several types of food. Tasty fruit on the front and acid on the finish help neutralize food and keep you ready for more.
  Pinot Noir
2004 was a lively vintage consisting of small berries leading to firmly integrated wines. Scents of copious dark fruits and a hint of oak lead to flavors of black cherry, blackberries, and a cranberry top-note on the front & mid palate. Rich structure with a combination of acid and soft tannins on the back palate, give this wine a smooth edge, long finish, and a backbone that will cellar for several years. Our techniques consist of 80% new French Oak, long macerations, and small lot fermentations adding up to an intense, balanced powerhouse of a wine. This Pinot Noir has the stature to pair well with just about any food from beef and lamb to cheeses, pastas, and funky little chocolate things. It’s rich, firm and lingers seamlessly. The 2003 vintage helped us take a big step forward. 2004 promises to keep things rolling.
