Here at Red Fox Cellars, we pride ourselves in our bold and adventurous wines and ciders. We are respectful to but unbound by tradition and we think we just might be on to something. Join us to decide for yourself at our rustic and charming tasting room for free wine samples and stay for a glass or two on our patio. We also serve wine cocktails as well as cider and fruit wine flights.

Chardonnay
This wine was fermented in tight-grained French oak barrels and then was aged “sur lie” for 8 1/2 months. The barrels were stirred bi-weekly, adding roundness and texture to the finished wine. Currently, this wine possesses a beautiful brilliant pale straw gold color. Pineapple, citrus and toasty oak scents lead to a medium bodied, supple entry full of apple, pear, hazelnut and creamy oak flavors that persist into a crisp, long finish.

Marsanne
Mission Trail Vineyards is dedicated to showcasing the promise that Monterey wine country has to offer. Only small lots of hand-crafted wines are produced. The grapes for these wines are selected from choice locations throughout Monterey County. The Rauhs believe wine should be a reflection of the true varietal character with little man-made influences.

Merlot
This versatile wine has oak highlights and possesses flares of bright fruit flavors of blackberry and plum. Our medium bodied Merlot has substantial tannins, deep color and a full finish. An approachable and balanced wine that pairs wonderfully with any meat or poultry dish.

Sauvignon Blanc
The grapes for this wine are hand-selected according to flavor, quickly pressed to juice and allowed to settle while chilling. The juice is then transferred to near- neutral French oak barrels for extended fermentation and aging. Our artistic approach focuses upon preserving and enhancing the unique qualities of the fruit and site relationship. There is no infusion of oak flavors as that would detract from the expression.
