Waltzing Bear Wines
|
|
Waltzing Bear Wines was started in 2002 by Brad Lowman with much encouragement from the late, great Bob Senn, who introduced him to many of the winemakers and winegrowers in Santa Barbara county, including Brian Loring of Loring Wine Company and the folks from Tantara Winery, Jeff Fink and Bill Cates.

Cargasacchi Jalama Vineyard pinot noir
Our 2004 Cargasacchi Jalama Vineyard pinot noir is 100% Mt. Eden clone, which yielded a mere quarter of a normal crop, giving it an incredible intensity and finish. An elegant yet powerful wine that will age well and pair with numerous dishes.

Garys' Vineyard Pinot noir
We are fortunate to get an acre of fruit from the famous Garys' Vineyard up in the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County. The Pisoni and Franscioni families jointly own and farm this hillside with amazing results. Elegant, silky, spicy and distinctive, this wine will age well for years to come.

Petite Sirah
Named after Brad's father who loves petite sirah, this tannic grape has been tamed with French oak and the skill of a pinot producer. This fruit-forward and elegant wine is approachable and delicous, pairing well with red meats or dark chocolates.

Rancho Ontiveros Vineyard pinot noir
Our 2004 Rancho Ontiveros Vineyard pinot noir is from the second block planted and grown by James Ontiveros in the southern end of the Santa Maria Valley. It is a blend of two classic pinot clones: Swan and Mt. Eden. Enticing aromas are enhanced with a small percentage of whole cluster to round out this rich wine.

Solomon Hills Vineyard Pinot noir
Solomon Hills Vineyard is under the same ownership and management as the world famous Bien Nacido Vineyard. Two black fruit personalities (Swiss clone 23 and Dijon clone 667) were chosen to produce a counterpart to our largely red fruit-driven pinots made from other vineyards. Black raspberry, black cherry and blueberry and peppered with hints of cola and spice to complete this hefty pinot.
