Hardscrabble Cider is the product of three brothers on a farm and orchard with a firm horticultural background. Fans of American history and old world tradition, they found inspiration in the words of Theodore Roosevelt, “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are”; and (Mother Nature willing) apples they have a plenty.
Brothers Covino Hardscrabble Cider is the embodiment of a hand-crafted, farm-to-bottle beverage. All stages of the process happen right here at the orchard – picking and cleaning the apples, pressing, fermenting, bottling, and pasteurization. It makes for a handful of long days but also makes, as they like to say, “Cider worth drinking”.
2016 will welcome back some old favorites like Sweet Citra, Cranberry, Old Hickory, and Dry, but this year we are excited to add two new flavors to the mix!
