Lazy Days Winery
Our family owned winery is located in beautiful Amherst County, Virginia, offering a broad spectacular view of the natural beauty of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. Close to both Charlottesville and Lynchburg, it is easy to reach Lazy Days Winery and enjoy our wines. We planted our first vines in 2007, starting with three acres of Petit Manseng, Petit Verdot, and Merlot. We've since expanded adding Chambourcin, Traminette, Tannat, Malbec, Pinotage, Albarino and Arneis. As of the 2015 vintage, all of our wines are 100% estate grown and produced, allowing us to produce great quality wines.

Merlot
While its flavor is similar to Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine tends to be slightly more herbaceous overall in terms of aroma and taste. It is softer than a Petit Verdot, and shows hints of lighter red fruits such as cherries and raspberries.
Petit Manseng
Petit Manseng is a very interesting grape variety. It has a distinct lemon and fruit salad flavor, has plenty of presence, which carries the touch of sweetness. At first sniff, this Is just another light, fairly simple dry style white, but It reveals some interesting hidden subtleties. The bouquet starts up with tropical fruit hints, evolving some honeysuckle, pear and stone - fruit aromas. It's delicate in the mouth with firm acidity and lick of sweetness, finishing clean, dry and well balanced.
Petit Verdot
This rarely bottled stand-alone varietal is dark and fruity, with hints of raisins and currants. With its rich structure and big tannins, this powerful wine ages well as strong tones of violet and leather develop as it matures.
Sweet Lazy Days
A nice blend of Vidal and Chardonnay, this is an off-dry that has residual sugar of 2.5% and makes for a wonderful table or after dinner wine on those warm summer nights.
Viognier
This shy producer and somewhat difficult to grow grape has its attraction in its powerful, rich and complex aroma that often seems like apricots mixed with orange blossoms or acacia. It has a more distinctive fruit character than a Chardonnay, and because of its fresh and striking aroma, it is a wine that should be consumed young in most instances.
