Our story began brewing beer in our garages and sharing them with friends. The idea of Fort Orange Brewing came to fruition in the winter of 2015. We started to talk about the dream of opening a brewery in the Albany area while brewing our latest recipes. We knew we needed to create beers that went above and beyond our expectations and that moment was about to be realized.
It was a random Saturday in June of 2016 and like many summer days, we got our friends and families together for a day of swimming and trying our latest brews. We brewed three variations of an IPA that will become the Fort Orange IPA. As we sampled the first two versions we were happy with the results but it was the third version that blew us away. We knew we had to share this beer and so the push to open Fort Orange Brewing began.
Our brewery will focus on creating fresh, flavorful beers that showcase the amazing styles being brewed across our country. Whether it's the Northeast IPA, hoppy pilsner, Irish red or traditional stout, we will focus on bringing you great tasting craft beer in a family friendly environment. Our beers will be available in our taproom at 450 North Pearl St. in flights, pints or growlers to go. We are working hard to open this fall and can't wait to share our beers with the Albany, NY area. Cheers!
