Glenhaven Farm

Glenhaven Farm Glenhaven Farm Winery specializes in fruit wine, but we also make wines from grapes grown in the region. In 2003 we converted an old carriage house on the farm to a tasting room and began selling wines during the you-pick blueberry season. Because we began our business selling blueberries, a primary goal of ours is to produce the best blueberry wine in the Finger Lakes region.

Products

  Blackberry
A semi-sweet wine with rich blackberry flavor and a caramel finish. Robust and full-flavored, yet gentle on the palate, it works well on its own as an after-dinner wine.
  Blueberry
Sweeter than our 2002 offering, this wine has a bright, slightly spicy blueberry flavor, and just a hint of tart cherry. Serve with mild cheeses and antipastos, or on its own.
  Blueberry Dry
Dry, light-bodied fruit wine, with soft tannins. Made from hand-picked Glenhaven Blue Crop blueberries, this wine benefits from the abundant sun and heat we had in 2002. Lightly French-oaked and with a spicy nose, it was fermented using the process of carbonic maceration. It goes well with beef and pasta dishes, and with sharp cheddar and blue cheeses.
  Cabernet Franc
Lightly oaked dry red wine, with a friendly balance of rich fruits and soft tannins. Excellent accompaniment for meat dishes, particularly beef. Stands up well to spicy foods and sharp cheeses.
  Cherry
Semi-sweet with a pronounced cherry flavor. A refreshing bitter note balances the sweetness. Pack this wine in your picnic basket and drink it with dry salami and cheese.
  Pinot Noir
A dry red wine cellar-aged in French oak barrels. Jammy plum blends with the toasty oak to create a wine to complement lamb, venison, and pastas with red sauces. Superb companion to rack of
  Raspberry
Semi-sweet with chocolate notes. A great dessert wine, it goes well with chocolate, cheesecake, and custards. Take a bottle along with you on picnics to accompany fresh fruit.
  Vidal Blanc
A crisp and fruity white wine with bright pineapple overtones and a hint of honey. The balanced acidity pairs well with shellfish, salads, and poultry.
